My condolences to Harold's family. Several years ago he popped into the Controller's Office on one of his visits to City Hall. For the next year or so, he was a regular visitor. I'm not sure if he just wanted a treat from the candy dish or if he really liked us! He was a very intelligent man and had great life stories that he loved to share. He was very proud of the papers he had written and published. He brought them in for us to see. He was also proud of his Christmas card from President Bush and the fact that he was personally invited to the White House. He would call us "the lady on the left" and "the lady on the right" because he couldn't remember our names. We even started sending him birthday and Christmas cards.
At some point he wasn't coming around any more but he would call us several times a week just to chat. He must have lost our number in the move to the Jacobetti Home because all of a sudden the calls stopped and I saw him on the local news when they were doing a story over there. I'm sorry to hear of his passing but will always remember his fondly.

Melissa beat me to it. I'm the "lady on the left". My condolences as well -- we share many a funny and pleasant tale as we remember Harold. Sympathies to your family.

My condolences to Harold's family. We've missed him coming down here the last few years. He definitely kept us on our toes during the election process! He will never be forgotten <3

My sympathies to the Moravek family. I am sorry to hear of your loss. The death of a loved one is such a challenging time for the entire family. I hope that you can find some comfort in God's Word the Bible. Acts 24:15 says, "I have hope toward God... that there is going to be a resurrection..." Here the Bible is assuring us that in the near future we have the hope of being reunited with our loved ones we have loss in death. May this promise be a comfort to you during this difficult time.
