Dear Uncle Don and Families,
We were so sorry to hear of Effie's passing. who is now with the Lord. Wishing that we could be with all of you to give our last farewell. Effie was such a warm, loving, giving and beautiful addition to the DeKeyser Family. We always enjoyed seeing and visiting with her. We loved the sound of her voice and the excitement she expressed in seeing us. She was a fun person to be around. Effie shared with us one of her delicious dessert recipes "Dump Cake". Whenever possible, she enjoyed the DeKeyser tradition of "card playing" with the family.
We are so grateful for Effie in our family and for Uncle Don"s visits with her to Arizona during our retirement.
May the The Lord Bless and Comfort you. With Love....Paul & Gloria Alex,..Goodyear, Arizona

Oh what a lovely, friendly, sweet woman Effie was. I remember her mostly from when I was in school in Escanaba and she was a substitute teacher. After having her in those few classes, she always knew me when we both were about town, and would stop and stay 'hello'. What a nice lady. with a genuine smile. I graduated with Holland and would like to express my heart-felt sympathy to all the families. You were so blessed to have such a wonderful mother!

Prayers are being said for your comfort and love is being sent to all of you. Someone said Aunt Effie was the glue that held the extended families together and that is most certainly true. What a wonderful lady--so glad she was in our life. Rejoice in her life's achievements and in the fact that now she begins eternal life in the mansion that Jesus has prepared for her.
