William Lloyd Erickson, age 88, of Escanaba passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba. He was born March 20, 1938, in Chicago, IL and was the son of Emil and Jeanne (Noyes) Erickson.
Bill grew up in Ford River and graduated from Escanaba High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from August 22, 1959, until he was honorably discharged on February 21, 1960. Bill was employed as the produce manager at the A&P Grocery Store in Escanaba and then with the U.P. Power Company until his retirement. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Gladstone.
Bill was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed watching sports, especially All-Star Wrestling. He was a hard-working man who built his own home, enjoyed keeping his house in perfect shape and was a very giving person who enjoyed helping others. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and the outdoors. Family was very important to Bill.
Bill is survived by daughters Debbie West and Janet (Little Girl); sons Jim (Barb) West and Tom Jones; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister Carol (Allen) Pierron and three nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm, Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Delta County Veterans services will be conducted at 1:45 pm Thursday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow with Rev. Susan Ray officiating. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
