Trent Allen Fudala, age 27, formerly of Escanaba, passed away at his home in L’Anse, MI. He was born on October 10, 1992 in Escanaba, the son of Loren Witte and Christy DeGrand. He was baptized and received his First Communion at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Wells. Trent was raised and attended school in Escanaba where he played baseball and soccer. He enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, fishing, and spending time with his beloved partner and children. Trent loved spending time with his “Papa Butch” at camp cutting wood, fishing in their boat, doing woodworking projects in the shop, or just going to get ice-cream. Over the years he enjoyed spending time with his stepfather John fishing, four wheeling, playing video games and attending many of the annual Jig-It ice fishing events where some unforgettable memories and stories were created.
Trent A. Fudala is survived by his partner, Elizabeth Dakota of L’Anse, MI; son, Terrent Fudala; daughter, Eliza Fudala; mother, Christy (John) DeGrand of Escanaba; sisters, Tonilyn Gorsche of Escanaba, and Courtney DeGrand of Escanaba; step-brother, Ian Gorsche of Escanaba; grandmother, Lynn Fudala of Gladstone; grandparents, Scott and Julie Williams of Escanaba; great-grandmother, Betty Fudala of Escanaba; aunts, Tricia (Jerry) Stinnett (Trent’s Godmother) of Fayetteville, NC, Beth Ann (Joe) Belcher of Wells, Lesley Priddy of NC, and Laura (Mark) Carmen of Lansing, MI; as wells as several cousins.
Trent was preceded in death by his sister, Brittany Fudala; grandfather, Lanny Fudala “Papa Butch”; grandmother, Luella Larson; and great-grandfather, Frank Fudala.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Trent will follow at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Rick Courier officiating. A luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the services in the Anderson Funeral Home Reception Room.
