Timothy K. Carlson, age 62, of Wells passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his home in Wells. He was born January 12, 1962 in Escanaba, MI and was the son of John and Marlene (Millington) Carlson. Tim graduated from Escanaba High School in 1981. On October 11, 1985, Tim married the former Kim Anderson, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Escanaba. Together the couple shared 38 years of marriage and raised four children; Kasey, Courtney, Brody, and Amanda. Tim was employed as a machinist with VANAIRE, Incorporated in Gladstone. He has a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping. Tim’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and taking them fishing and camping. He was an avid Detroit Lions fan, University of Michigan fan and enjoyed music. He wrote many songs and was a self-taught acoustic guitar player and played in the United Evangelical Covenant Church Band.
Tim is survived by his wife, Kim; children’ Kasey (Josh) Demers of Wrightstown, WI. Courtney (Paul) Lefleur of Colorado, Brody Carlson (Alexandria Reynolds) of Escanaba and Amanda (Kyler) Mogusar of Colorado; 12 grandchildren; Libby, Maggy, Atticus, Francine, Vivienne, Ishmael, Edmond, Orlando, Nora, Fox, Azalea, and Violet. Sister, Cathy Olson of Escanaba; brothers, John Carlson of Peshtigo, WI, Jim (Teri) Carlson of Escanaba, Jeff (Pam) Carlson of Escanaba, Bob (Tammy) Carlson of Escanaba, and Bill (Doreen) Carlson of North Carolina; mother, Marlene (Jim) Weber of Escanaba and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father John Carlson.
A celebration of life memorial gathering will be held in the spring of the year at one of Tim’s fishing places in the Hiawatha National Forest.
