Susan L. Yoder, age 51, of Escanaba passed away Wednesday August 23, 2023 at her residence at Whispering Pines Adult Foster Care Home. She was born April 23, 1972 in Grayling, MI and was the daughter of Warren and Norma (Graber) Yoder. Susan graduated from Escanaba High School and the I.S.D. Learning Center in 1993. Susan was employed by Lakestate Industries and was a special person, who enjoyed life and would always give to others first. She would always want to help, enjoyed painting and loved the staff at Whispering Pines. She would call her parents multiple times, each day, check on them and see how they were doing. Susan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Escanaba.
Susan is survived by her parents, Warren and Norma Yoder of Ford River; brother Jeffrey (Alissa) Yoder of Midland, MI; niece Emily and nephew Samuel and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday September 1, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Susan will follow at 11:00 a.m., Friday at First United Methodist Church in Escanaba with Rev. David Wickert and Rev. Paul A. Yoder officiating. A luncheon will be served following the funeral services in First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Burial will take place in West Ford River Cemetery.
