Stojko Bozic, age 79, of Stephenson, MI, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at Christian Park Healthcare Center in Escanaba. He was born May 18, 1941 in Strpci, Yugoslavia, the son of Tomo and Leksa (Kainovic) Bozic. Stojko graduated in Yugoslavia and then served in the Yugoslavian Army from 1964 until 1966. He married the former Nada Cavic on February 14, 1966. Stojko immigrated to Chicago, IL on November 11, 1968. He worked as a tool and die processor in Chicago until his retirement. Stojko and Nada relocated to Stephenson, MI in 2003. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and cutting wood.
Stojko Bozic is survived by his wife, Nada Bozic of Stephenson, MI; sons, Mile Stojko, and Mickay Bozic; and grandchildren, Stojko, Nada, and Janko.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021 at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Libertyville, IL. Funeral services celebrating the life of Stojko will follow at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, with Rev. Petar Sailovac officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the funeral services.
