Steven Richard Peterson

Steven Richard Peterson, age 61, of Escanaba, passed away Sunday evening, January 8, 2023 at his home. He was born on January 10, 1961 in Escanaba, the son of Emer and Donna (Lundin) Peterson. Steven was raised and attended school in Escanaba where he was a 1979 graduate of Escanaba High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country for two years. After returning home, he attended Bay College in Escanaba where he studying electronics. He spent most of his working career as a machine operator at Lakeside Machine Company in Gladstone. Steven greatly enjoyed the outdoors – especially golfing and fishing.

He is survived by his son, Bill Peterson of Escanaba, MI; 3 grandchildren; brother, Dave Peterson of Escanaba, MI; sisters, Kristine Peterson of Cornell, MI, and Leslie Kempes of Joliet, IL; and 1 nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emer and Donna Peterson.

Memorial services are being planned for the summer of 2023 at the Wellspring Community Church in Escanaba. Burial will take place in the South Ford River Cemetery.
