Scott Carlson Obituary

Scott Allan Carlson, age 65, of Wells, passed away Thursday morning, January 13, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 6, 1956 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Gary and Ethel (Stropich) Carlson. Scott was raised and attended school in Ann Arbor where he was a graduate of Pioneer High School. A couple of years after graduation, the family relocated in Escanaba in 1976. Scott married the former Terri Lynn Newman on January 6, 1979 in Escanaba and together just celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. Scott owned and operated Stropich’s Bar in Escanaba’s northtown until his retirement in 2019.

Scott is survived by his wife, Terri Carlson of Wells; daughter, Jeana (Brent) O’Connell of Wells; son, Josh Carlson of Perkins; two grandchildren, Bryce and Gabe; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bobbi Jo.

In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Carlson.

Private family funeral services were held.
