Sandra A. Wellman

Sandra “Sandy” Ann Wellman, age 74, passed peacefully on January 21, 2024. She was born in Escanaba, Michigan, on August 5, 1949, the daughter of Rita (Couillard) and Harvey Wellman.

She graduated from Escanaba High School in 1969 and married Michael Grenier on August 13, 1971.

Besides her love of being a caregiver to many, Sandy enjoyed dancing, bingo, ceramics and going coffee clutching. She truly had a heart of gold.  Most of all, she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. They were the light of her life! She was also a member of St. Anthony Church.

Sandy is survived by her daughters Tracy (Nick) Kolich, Heather Grenier, Felicia Peterson, and Shannon (Corey) Tourangeau; grandchildren Madison and Nick Kolich, Brittany and Dillon Caswell, Carter Sisson, Andre Benson, Neeko Perry, Tatiiana and Gentae Sexton, Arriahnna and Zayda Tourangeau; great granddaughter Hope Seabrook; sisters Maxine (Al) Trombley of Escanaba, Mary Sue (James) Winker, of Escanaba; brother Gary (Theresa) Wellman of Rock, MI; and special niece Jamel O’Neil

She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Rita Wellman.

A time of visitation and light reception will be offered from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and the funeral service for Sandy will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Home, 2200 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
