Sandra (Makinen) Wicklander Obituary

Sandra E. (Makinen) Wicklander, 73, of Overland Park Kansas, died April 3 2020.

Private family services were held at Lutheran Church of Resurrection in Prairie Village, Kansas, on April 13, 2020. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Escanaba, Mich., at a later date.

Sandi was born in Houghton Mich., to Arthur and Bertha Makinen. She moved to Escanaba as a young girl. She graduated Escanaba High School in 1964 and went on to attend Eastern Michigan University. Sandi married her husband Ken Wicklander in 1968. She moved with her family to Overland Park, Kansas, in 1985. Sandi was employed as a legal and administrative assistant. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba and later of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Prairie Village as well as various business organizations.

Sandi is survived by her husband Ken, son Brad Wicklander of Overland Park, Kansas, Amy Nash (Wicklander) and three grandchildren.
