Ruth Ann Hansen, 60, of Escanaba, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at home surrounded by family, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Ruth was born on April 16, 1961 in Muskegon, MI, the daughter of Doris Hansen and Lawrence Hansen.
Ruth's most precious gift in life was her children and grandchildren. She dedicated most of her life to raising 5 children and loving six grandchildren. Ruth absolutely adored the beaches in Hawaii that she enjoyed with her husband, William Allianic Jr. Ruth truly valued a few long-term friendships she had that she often referred to as family; including Carla Gieryk, Glenda Potvin, Patty Menard, Sue Collins, and many more.
Ruth enjoyed volunteering for local churches to help in the kitchen during funeral services. She also enjoyed her time as a sheriff's auxiliary volunteer while in Arizona. She also loved to travel with her husband, William.
Ruth had a heart of gold and always welcomed anyone with open arms and loving heart. She cared deeply for those around her and will be missed by so many.
Ruth is survived by her children, Mark Witte, Matt (Nicole) Witte, Jesse (Faye) Witte, and Allison (Tanner) Dagenais-Watkins; mother, Doris Hansen; husband, William Allianic Jr.; grandchildren, Lily Witte, Isaiah Anderson, Aubree Witte, Hallee Witte, and Nolan Witte; sisters, Kathy Karboski, and Jean Bruesch; brothers, Jim Hansen, and Larry Hansen; and many more nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Tara Vanderleest; granddaughter, Isabella Anderson; father, Lawrence Hansen; sister, Norma Peloza; brother, Andrew Hansen; brother-in-law, Joe Bruesch; and special family friend, Mike Gieryk.
Private graveside services were held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Escanaba with Father Robb Jurkovich as the officiant.
