Rose M. Ledvina

Rose M. Ledvina, age 93, formerly of Gladstone, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Towner Crest Senior Living in Oconomowoc, WI. She was born on October 1, 1928 in Marquette, MI, the daughter of Wenzel and Bertha (Ubrick) Youn. The former Rose Marie Youn married Victor John Ledvina on June 28, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins and he preceded her in death on February 28, 2016. Together, the couple shared 63 years of marriage and raised one daughter, Lois. Rose and Victor owned and operated Ledvina’s Strawberry Farm in Flat Rock from the early 1960s until they sold the business in 2010. In 2011, they moved to Wisconsin to be closer to their daughter. Rose was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Wisconsin Strawberry Grower Association. She also loved traveling to various places, gardening, and flowers.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Lois (Dan) Mishich of Oconomowoc, WI; two grandchildren, Jamie and Rachael; and several nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life Rose will follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, with Father Sebastian K. Chacko officiating. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
