Roger Dale Gondol

Roger Dale Gondol, Sr., age 70, of Rapid River, MI, formerly of Cadillac and Flint, MI passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, under the care of OSF Hospice.

Roger was born on March 10, 1955, to Simon and Betty Jean (Nation) Gondol in Flint, where he was raised. Roger graduated from Flint Northwestern High School. In 1973, he married the love of his life, Jo (McCain) on August 4, 1973 in Flint, MI.

Roger began his career working as a truck driver for the Kalkaska oilfields. He later worked for Avon Rubber and Plastics of Cadillac, until his retirement.

When time allowed, Roger enjoyed stock car racing and spending time on the great outdoors, hunting, and fishing. In 2015, Roger and Jo, moved to Rapid River, MI, where they made their retirement home.

Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Jo Gondol; children Tina (Bill Lash) Wellington of Mt. Morris, MI, Anna (Tracey) Ewald of Rapid River, MI, and Roger Gondol, Jr. of Kalkaska, MI; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Ivy; brother Simon Gondol; and sister Ruth Gondol.
