Robert Daniel Bartlett

Robert “Dan” Daniel Bartlett, age 68, of Escanaba, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Mission Point Nursing Home in Ishpeming. He was born on July 26, 1952 in Escanaba, the son of Jay and Joyce (Lancour) Bartlett. He grew up in Rock, where he also attended school. Dan owned and operated Mid Penn Disposal Company from 1979 until he sold the business in 1991. He then purchased the Edge Woods Motel in Nahma Junction. During that time, Dan also owned and operated Mac’s Bar in Nahma Junction until his retirement. He enjoyed motorcycling and taking trips on his bike. Dan was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

Robert Daniel Bartlett is survived by four brothers, Bruce Bartlett of Rock, Mike Bartlett of Vernon, FL, Chris Bartlett of Hyde, and Randy Bartlett of Rapid River; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Bartlett on December 20, 2016; and special friend, Donna Terrian on December 6, 2017.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Robert Daniel Bartlett will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Rapid River Cemetery with Pastor David Grant officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Rapid River Cemetery.
