Robert “Bob” E. Miron, age 67, of Nahma, passed away Monday morning, September 26, 2022 at his home in Nahma due to a housefire. He was born on April 29, 1955 in Escanaba, the son of Romeo and Betty (Gifford) Miron. Bob was raised in Nahma and attended school in Big Bay de Noc where he graduated from high school in 1973. He went on to attended Northern Michigan University and obtained his certificate in Auto Mechanics. He began working for Little Bay Propane in Gladstone and also performed odd jobs and auto mechanics in the area. He most recently was employed as a handyman at No-Nah-Ma Resort. Bob married the former April Wright on January 15, 1976 and she preceded him in death on January 19, 2003. Bob loved living in Nahma and helping people in the community – a true hometown, Nahma guy. He enjoyed spending time with his family as they meant everything to him.
Bob is survived by his children, Kristy Hoduski of Escanaba, Tanya Selmo of Waukesha, WI, Nicky Sundling of Rapid River, Angie (Arvin) Warner of Harbor Springs, MI, Jessica Rama of Suring, WI, Josh Miron of Nahma, and Danielle Hunt of Escanaba; 17 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Joshua Jacob, Alexi, Lucas, Tyler, Ian, Emma, Olivia, Joey, Jacob, Michaelanne, Skyler, Araya, Cruz, Easton, Deidrik, and Cole; 1 great-grandchild, Axel; sister, Sue (Les) Neumann of Milwaukee, WI; brother, Terry Miron of Escanaba; sister-in-law, Mary Miron of Marinette, WI; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Miron; nephews, Scott Fisher and Rick Miron; and niece, Tara Boutin.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Nahma Hall led by Bob’s family. A luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the services. Private family burial will take place in the Nahma Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bob’s family.
