Robert Buckland

Robert Allen Buckland, age 76, of Gladstone (Flat Rock) passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at his home in Flat Rock. He was born September 25, 1947 in Escanaba, MI and was the son of Bernard and Anna (Delvaux) Buckland. Bob graduated from Escanaba from Escanaba High School in 1965 and then served in the U.S. Navy from December 28, 1966 until he was honorably discharged on September 22, 1970. He was employed with Mead Paper Company (New Page) from December 6, 1971 until his retirement on March1,2010. Bob enjoyed life and always liked a good time! He enjoyed spending time in his garden, cutting grass, playing pool, shooting darts and snowmobiling.  

Bob is survived by his brothers Don (Judy) Buckland of Houston, TX. and Mike (Diane) Buckland of Spalding, MI and several nieces and nephews.

Veteran’s services will be conducted by the Delta County Veterans Council at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells. The Anderson Funeral Homes of Escanaba and Gladstone are assisting the Buckland family with the arrangements.
