Ralph James Bazinet

Ralph James Bazinet, Jr., age 87, of Gladstone passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Helping Hands Adult Foster Care in Escanaba. He was born July 30, 1938 in Gladstone, MI and was the son of Ralph and Mildred (Seely) Bazinet, Sr. Jimmy was blind at birth. At a young age Jimmy attended the school for visually impaired students in Lansing, MI where he learned to read braille and play the violin. Jimmy was a good-natured person who enjoyed chewing snuff and listening to music. He was known at the home as Jimmy, Jimmy Coco Buff.

Jimmy is survived by many friends and caregivers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Betty Fox.

Memorial services for Ralph “Jimmy” Bazinet, Jr. will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Helping Hands Adult Foster Care Home, 5116 18th. Road, Escanaba, MI. with Deacon Bob Berbolm officiating. Burial will take place following the funeral services in the Fernwood Cemetery.
