Paul J. Branstrom

Paul Jeffrey “Stray Dog” Branstrom, age 57, of Escanaba, passed away Wednesday morning, April 14, 2021 at his home. He was born on November 28, 1963 in Chicago, IL, the son of Ernie and Agatha (Fournier) Branstrom. At the age of 13, he moved to Perkins and attended school. Throughout his career, Paul worked in construction and later was employed with Pennzoil Quick Lube in Escanaba. He married the former Sheila Patel and together shared many wonderful years. Paul loved spending his free time riding his motorcycle and also making memories with his family. He was an avid Detroit Lions fan and enjoyed spending time outdoors.

Paul J. Branstrom is survived by his wife, Sheila Branstrom of Escanaba; mother, Agatha Branstrom of Perkins; brother, Charles Branstrom of Perkins; children, Angel (Robert) Hanley of Escanaba, Sam Branstrom of Escanaba, Kristy Branstrom of Escanaba, and Treven Branstrom of Escanaba; two grandchildren, William Tyloch, and Stevie Casey; and good friend, Keith “Bird” Alden of Gladstone.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Branstrom.

A public visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba.
