Melodie A. Rodgers

Melodie A. Rodgers, age 59, of Escanaba passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at her home in Escanaba. She was born November 3, 1964 in  Escanaba and was the daughter of Robert Rodgers and Beverly Goodchild. Melodie attended Escanaba High School and later Bay de Noc Community College. She was employed at Elmer's County Market, tended bar at the Escanaba Country Club and The Escanaba Elks Lodge and later at Jim’s South Side. She enjoyed cooking, a good pizza, reading, and listening to music. Melodie was a fun-loving person with a great sense of humor and a hippie at heart.

Melodie is survived by her fiancée Randell LaMarche; daughters Jaime Rodgers of Escanaba and Randi LaMarche of Escanaba; grandson Mekhi Rodgers; sisters Penny Lindsey of Escanaba, Vicki Caputo of Lansing, Connie (Hank) Auge of Escanaba, and Michele (Roy) Oehlke of Two Rivers, WI, and Shawn Walechka of Escanaba; brothers Robert Rodgers of Escanaba, Steven Rodgers of Escanaba, Mike (Rebecca) Rodgers of Two Rivers, WI, Greig Goodchild of Escanaba, Shane Goodchild of Escanaba; step children Jacob LaMarche of Cornell, Zachary LaMarche of Colorado Springs, CO and Krystal Deiter of Muskegon, MI and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by her brother, Paul Ford. She was predeceased by her sister, Sherri Ford and brother, Randy Rodgers.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2024 at New Life Church in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Melodie Rodgers will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday at New Life Church. A luncheon will be served following the funeral services. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses.
