Mason Clark Obituary

Mason Michael Clark, of Bark River and Gladstone, age 6, gained his angel wings on January 25, 2024, surrounded by all of his loving parents after an incredibly courageous seven month battle fighting DIPG.  Mason was born March 29, 2017, to Sean Clark and Sarah (Ledford) Sarnowski.

From the time Mason was a baby, it was evident that he was given to us to spread happiness and laughter.  He was rarely serious, always playing the part of comedian, doing whatever he could to make people laugh.  His constant jokester antics were part of Mason’s gift for making those around him smile as he brought everyone joy.  Mason’s infectious smile, zest for life and love for all things silly or fun are just a few of the examples he set for us all.

Mason loved to ride – side-by-sides, bikes, scooters, four wheelers and his dirt bike.  Mason showed everyone that he fell in the ranks with the superheroes he admired, as his courage, strength and bravery matched theirs.  Baseball, basketball, swimming, Pokémon, camping, hot rods, Harleys, and burnouts were other things Mason enjoyed, along with loud horns and sirens.  Another thing he loved most are trains.  Mason spent time as a Conductor for Canadian National Railroad, and as an Officer for Gladstone Public Safety.

Mason leaves behind his parents, Sean (Nicole) Clark and Sarah (Justin) Sarnowski; siblings Landon Clark, JJ, Jaxtyn and Joslyn Sarnowski, Addisyn and Alivia Blowers, and Phoebe Sarnowski; grandparents Susie and Mark Clark, Sr., Patti (Bob Sagataw) Hebert, Mike (Christy Herrild) Ledford; great grandparents Cindie Johnston, Jim and Judy Hebert, Ruth & Harry Ness; aunts and uncles, Jesse (Alex) Clark, Melissa Ledford, Patti (Ryan) Stevenson, and many great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Welcoming Mason to Heaven were his uncle, Mark Clark, Jr.; his Papa Roger Sarnowski; and cousin Travis Hebert.

Mason’s desire to continue bringing joy to others while displaying the strength, courage, bravery and perseverance of a warrior all through his illness are lessons he left for us all and part of his legacy.
