Mary Ann Anderson, age 68, of Gladstone, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at her home in Gladstone. She was born on January 30, 1954 in Cornell, the daughter of Albert and Mary Jane (LaChapelle) LaCarte. Mary worked as a caregiver for a neighbor for 7 years. She enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles, playing English Darts, watching Western TV shows and Texas Walker Ranger. Mary loved animals, going for walks with her dog, Toby, and her greatest joy was being a grandma.
Mary is survived by her husband, David Anderson; daughter, Patti (Anderson) Rodgers; grandson, Adam Aker; sister, Becky Anne (Couillard) Deneau; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Anderson) Griffin, Janet (Anderson) Kwarciany, Dolores Pinson, and Chris (Anderson) Deacon; brothers, Lester (Doris) LaCarte, Melvin (Rose) LaCarte, Roy LaCarte, Harley (Dawn) LaCarte, and David (Cheryl) LaCarte; step-sister, Dolores Pinson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack LaCarte; and granddaughter, Angel Marie Aker.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Mary will follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Donna Ritchie officiating. A luncheon will be held at the conclusion of the services at Crazy Joe’s in Escanaba.
