Martha A. Martin

Martha “Marti” A. Martin, age 57, of Escanaba passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center- Bay Area in Marinette, WI. She was born October 15, 1965, in Escanaba, MI and was the daughter of Robert J. and Mary Jane (Johnson) Martin. Marti graduated from Escanaba High School in 1983 and then attended Bay de Noc Community College and received her associate’s degree in accounting. Marti worked as a cashier at Lakestate Industries. She was an avid Green Bay Packers, Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Tiger fan. Marti was a fun and loving person who loved to play cribbage, bingo, trivia and write novels, knit and read her bible. She was a devoted member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Escanaba. Marti served as the President of Resident Council at Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba. Martha “Marti” Martin is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Martha “Marti” Martin will follow at 11:30 a.m. with David Mason officiating. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery.  A luncheon will be held following the burial.
