Marlene K. Ehle, age 83, of Escanaba passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in
Escanaba. She was born September 6, 1940 in Bucyrus, OH and was the daughter of Cecil and Peggy (Hosterman)
Wilson. Marlene grew up in Hessel, MI and graduated from Cedarville High School in 1958. The former Marlene
K. Wilson married Glenn E. Ehle on May 11, 1963 in Hessel, MI and he preceded her in death on August 6, 2018.
Marlene and Glenn moved to Escanaba in 1972, raised two children, Rob and Glenda, and were married for 55
years. Marlene was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, and enjoyed her cats, swimming, bowling,
crocheting, going to the casino, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and wintering at
their home in Lake Panasoffkee, FL.
Marlene is survived by her son Robert “Rob” Ehle of Rapid River; daughter Glenda (Brad) Schoff of Escanaba;
four grandchildren Jacob Ehle, Ryan (Tessa) Schoff, Taylor Ehle and Evan Schoff and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Anderson Funeral Home in
Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Marlene Ehle will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the Anderson
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lily Brondyke officiating. A luncheon will be served following the funeral
services in the Ludington Room, located at the Anderson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be
directed to the Delta County Cancer Alliance.
