Mark Stephen “Chum” Feathers, age 71 of Gladstone passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 at his home in Gladstone. He was born December 22, 1953 in Nahma, MI. Chum grew up in Nahma, later moved to Rock and graduated from Rock High School. He started his working career with the Hannahville Police Department and then working for Harnishfeger Corporation in Escanaba and then with Mead Paper Company for 43 years until his retirement in August of 2015. He married the former Wendy Boudreau and together they spent 32 years together. Chum was a man of few words, had a great sense of humor, and had a heart of gold. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and was a wonderful grandfather “The Best Papa Ever!” Chum also loved his two Yorkie dogs Lizzy Kaye and Daisey Mae.
Mark “Chum” Feathers is survived by wife Wendy; children Nicole (Amos) Wolfe of Bucyrus, OH, Sherri (Jamie) Doucette of Gladstone, Mark (Angie) Feathers, Jr.; Michelle (Matt) Wiles of Stonington; 11 Grandchildren, brothers Richard (Joyce) Feathers of Gladstone, Dave Feathers of Wilson, Glenn Clabots of Gladstone; sisters Rhea Lindstrom of Wilson and Laura (Bill) Bryant of AZ; mother-in-law Carol Boudreau of Gladstone and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Arlene, Judy, and Brenda.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Family remembrances will be shared at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. A luncheon will be served following the services in the Ludington Room located in the Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Rock Cemetery.
