Marjorie A. Rodgers

Marjorie "Marj" A. Rodgers, age 47, of Escanaba, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 1, 2018 at her home in Escanaba, of natural causes. She was born March 16, 1971 in Escanaba, the daughter of Carl and Lydia (Wright) Wheaton. Marj grew up in Escanaba and attended Fitzharris School and later Bay de Noc Community College. The former Marjorie Wheaton married Robert “Bob” Rodgers on September 22, 2001 in Escanaba. Marj loved to bargain hunt. She had a heart of gold and loved to help anyone in need. She especially loved spending time with her children, grand babies, and the “out-laws." She worked as a cook at Ferdinand’s Restaurant for 14 years and also worked at Rosie’s Diner in Escanaba.

    Mother- Lydia Wheaton of Grand Rapids, MI

    Daughters- Shawna Suzanne (Joey Lucier) Wheaton of Escanaba

        Tiffany Marie (Dylan) Couillard of Escanaba

    Step Daughter- Tabatha (Marc) Rudebeck of Escanaba

    Grandchildren- Jake, Cole, Bella, Marquise, Tate “Tater Tot”, Jase, Carlie, Harper and Ryan.

    Special Niece- Casey

    Several Nieces and Nephews

    Special Friend- Robin and Bart

In addition to her father, Carl, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charlie, Jennie, and Richard.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Marjorie A. “Marj” Rodgers will follow at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. A luncheon will be served following the funeral services at the Harbor Tower in Escanaba. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Rodgers family.
