Marie Lucarne Lundi

Marie “Cam” Lucarne Lundi, age 64, of Escanaba (formerly of Haiti), passed away Tuesday morning, March 12, 2019 at home surrounded by family. She was born on November 17, 1954 in Jeremie, Haiti, the daughter of Luc and Silvenie Lundi. Cam was raised and also attended school in Haiti. Throughout her lifetime, she sold merchandise in Jeremie and Port – au- Prince, Haiti where she worked very hard to provide for her family. Cam lived her life for her children and it was very important to her to see that her children attended school and went to church. She enjoyed visiting Escanaba and attending New Life Assembly of God. She loved singing and humming Haitian Christian music as she was strong in her faith. Family meant the world to Cam and she enjoyed spending time with them.

Marie “Cam” Lundi is survived by children, Mackenzy Desir of Jeremie, Haiti, Kervens (Amanda) Lundy of Escanaba, MI, Myrlene Gay (Cardin Pierre) of Jeremie, Haiti, and Stephanie Gay of Jeremie, Haiti; 4 grandchildren, Abraham Lundy, Nathan Lundy, Benjamin Lundy, and Mileisa Pierre; her father, Luc Lundi of Jeremie, Haiti; brothers, Frankel Lundi of Port – au – Prince, Haiti, and Sony Lundi of Jeremie, Haiti; sisters, Jocelyne Lundi of Port – au – Prince, Haiti, Mona Lundi of Jeremie, Haiti, Emma Lundi of Jeremie, Haiti, Viviane Lundi of Port – au – Prince, Haiti, and Mirlande Lundi of Port – au – Prince, Haiti; and many nieces and nephews.

Marie “Cam” was preceded in death by her mother, Silvenie Lundi; sisters, Elsie Lundi, Garlene Lundi, and Ivrone Lundi; and brother, Rodrigue Lundi.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at New Life Assembly of God in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Cam will follow at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, with Pastor Jason Janich officiating. A luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the services in the church fellowship hall.
