Marc Prebish Obituary

Marc William Prebish, age 45, formerly of Escanaba, Michigan, passed away on August 14, 2024 at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa, Arizona. He was born on March 18, 1979, in Escanaba, Michigan.

He graduated from Escanaba High School with the class of 1997. While attending high school he excelled at many sports. He played baseball for the American Legion Cubs, but his true passion was hockey. Marc began playing at the age of two with the Escanaba Area Junior Hockey Association.  During high school he moved to Marquette, Michigan to pursue his love of the sport by playing for the Marquette Electricians. Marc went on to play junior hockey in both Iowa, Michigan, and North Dakota.

Marc later returned to Grand Rapids, Michigan, and attended Grand Valley University leading him to find a fondness for restaurant and hospitality management.

Marc is survived by his parents Gina and Bill Prebish; sister, Jessica Prebish; brother-in-law, Chris Tiller; nieces, Emerson and Leighton; and his aunts, uncle, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Adeline and Peter Relich; paternal grandparents Ann and Chet Prebish; uncle, Allen “Al” Holte; and uncle, Tony Proft.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Escanaba Junior Hockey Association or the American Legion Cubs Baseball Association.

A celebration of life will be held amongst close family and friends at a later date. The Anderson Funeral Homes are assisting the family and online remembrances can be shared at www.andersonfuneralhomes.net.
