LeeAnne Moore Obituary

LeeAnne Dee Moore, 52, of Isabella, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 14, 2023. LeeAnne was born on June 8, 1970 to Leonard and Nina (Lavance) Nedeau. She attended Big Bay de Noc School and graduated with the Class of 1988. 

On August 7, 1993, she married her loving husband, John Moore, at her parents’ home in Isabella. Together, they raised their son, Matthew. LeeAnne was one of a kind who had a heart of gold. When she loved you, she loved you will her whole heart. She would drop everything to help anyone at any time. She was a devoted wife and mother. LeeAnne treasured the time she spent with her husband, John and son, Matthew. No matter what crazy idea she had, they were always willing to go along with it to make her happy. They meant more to her than anything.  

LeeAnne was such a caring niece who took amazing care of her Uncle Ivan during his recent times of need. She would care take his property in Isabella without a second thought. She would do anything to help him and Aunt Tillie. LeeAnne also enjoyed spending time with her Aunt Joanie whether it be shopping, enjoying lunch together, or having drinks at The Dock. She was also a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was affectionately known as “Auntie.” As her son, Matt grew up, she loved watching Matt play baseball with her nephews, Jake and Adrian. LeeAnne shared a special bond with her niece and nephew, Ellie and Logan. Auntie was always there for them. Cheering them on at sporting events or attending any functions they were involved in. When their parents said no, Auntie always said yes.  

LeeAnne loved being outdoors. She loved camping with friends and family (especially at Lyman Lake), kayaking, going on side by side rides, taking pictures, playing horseshoes, doing puzzles and most importantly thrift shopping. She had an eye for picking out the best antiques and beautiful colored glass pieces which she proudly had on display at their home. She had an amazing knack for decorating. LeeAnne enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends and her laugh and smile could light up a room. 

LeeAnne previously worked as the campground host at Bay Ridge RV Park in Garden and also worked at the St. Vincent thrift shop in Gladstone. These jobs were perfectly made for her and her love of camping and thrifting. She was currently employed as the receptionist at Wacky Jackz dispensary. 

She is survived by her loving husband, John Moore of Isabella; son, Matthew (Brittany Brow) Moore of Isabella; her fur baby, Riley; her little brother who she shared a special bond with, Michael (Trina) Nedeau of Fayette; brothers, Leonard (Jodi) Nedeau, Paul (Polly) Nedeau, and sister, Mindy (Jim) Moore; uncle Ivan (Lillian) Nedeau of Escanaba; aunts Joan Dufour and Joyce Picard, both of Escanaba, Lorna Bowers, of Manistique, Linda (Steve) Holladay, of Harbor Springs; brothers-in-law, Andy (Jana) Moore and Luke (Jennifer) Sundling; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Len and Nina Nedeau; maternal grandparents, Dourward and Marguerite Lavance; paternal grandparents, Leo and Martha Nedeau; aunts, Donna, Marlyn, & Shirley; uncle Sonny; and nephew, Walter. 

There will be a celebration of life for LeeAnne on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Dock Grill & Bar in Garden. Food and refreshments will be served. Please come and join us as we celebrate the love and joy she brought to our lives at the place she truly loved.
