Kathleen Sue Quinn

Kathleen Sue Quinn, age 71, of Escanaba passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at her home in Escanaba. She was born May 13, 1953 in La Porte, IN and was the daughter of Donald and Mary Ellen (Holt) Quinn. Kathy graduated from Escanaba High School and later from the University of Wisconsin with a Master’s degree in Family counseling. She went on to work with people with disabilities and brain trauma and loved her work with her clients. Kathy moved back to Escanaba and spent much time with her mother Mary Ellen in Escanaba and the winter time in Arizona. She had a shrewd intellect and sharp wit. She was an excellent cook, altering classic recipes to perfection. She also had a deep love of nature and animals of all kinds. 

Kathleen is survived by mother Mary Ellen Fassbender of Escanaba; sister Dr. Julie Quinn (Dr. David Wright of Traverse City, MI; brother Dr. Richard Quinn (TJ Taylor) of Denver, CO; nieces Kelsey and Amelia Wright, Akilah Taylor and Taryn Quinn   nephew Daniel Quinn , brother in law David Leach. Also, David (Kari) Fassbender of Gladstone, Robert (Saralee) Fassbender of Middleton, WI, Teresa (Greg) Kelley of Long Beach, CA, and John Fassbender (Andrea Martin) of Green Bay, WI and their children, her nieces, and nephews. Kathy’s father Donald Quinn and older sister Kimberly Leach preceded her in death. 

A celebration of life gathering will be held in the spring of the year at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba.
