Justin Eric Leppanen

Justin Eric Leppanen, age 40, of Rock, passed away Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at his home. He was born on August 1, 1979 in Escanaba, the son of Darryl and Pamela (Lehto) Leppanen and was baptized at Faith Lutheran Church in Rock. Justin was raised in Rock and was a 1998 graduate of Mid-Peninsula High School. Following graduation, he attended Bay College in Escanaba where he enrolled in classes specializing in small engine repair. Justin loved anything to do with the outdoors, especially four wheeling and snowmobiling. He enjoyed working on tractors with his father, was an avid Green Bay Packer and NASCAR fan, and liked to watch wrestling on TV.

Justin Eric Leppanen is survived by his father, Darryl (Bonnie) Leppanen of Rock; brothers, Michael Leppanen of Hamilton, OH, and Andrew (Amy) Leppanen of Iron River, MI; aunt, Diane Carlson of Escanaba; two nieces; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Leppanen on February 4, 2005; his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Kathy Lehto; and his paternal grandparents, George and Violet Leppanen.

Funeral services are being planned for a later date.
