Judy Lee Diehl, age 74, of Pensacola, FL (formerly of Escanaba), passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Windermere Memory Care in Pensacola, FL after a two-year battle with Dementia. She was born on November 23, 1946 in Escanaba, the daughter of Jack and Gertrude (Nelson) Cook. Judy was raised in Escanaba and was a 1965 graduate of Escanaba High School. She married Steve Diehl on November 29, 1974 and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2012. Together, the couple shared 38 years of marriage. For many years, Judy was a secretary at Lakeside Machine before she and her husband relocated to Florida in 2004. Judy was a member of the Women’s Circle in Pensacola, FL and also was very involved in planning the Mardi Gras celebration each year. She was a very vibrant and outgoing lady who loved being around people. Judy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Judy Lee Diehl is survived by her sons, Dash Diehl and Steve Diehl both of Pensacola, FL; grandson, Jack Diehl; sister, Sally (Dennis) Bittner of Gladstone; brother, Jim (Paula) Cook of Gladstone; and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Cook in 2006; father, Jack Cook in 2016; and her husband, Steve Diehl in 2012.
Memorial services celebrating the life of Judy will be held at a later date.
