Judith Pearson Obituary

Judith “Judy” Ann Pearson, age 56, of Escanaba, passed away Monday morning, April 5, 2021 at home after a courageous battle with Lupus. She was born on June 12, 1964 in Escanaba, the daughter of Carl and Ethel (Goodnough) Anderson. Judy was raised in Wells and attended the Escanaba High School. The former Judith Ann Anderson married Douglas M. Pearson on August 18, 1990 in Escanaba. Together, the couple shared 30 years of marriage. Judy began her working career at Big Boy Restaurant. She later was employed in the kitchen at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba and transferred into the purchasing department until her health declined and had to retire. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba. Judy enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren. She also participated in the Delta County English Dart League where she won many trophies and plaques.

Judy Pearson is survived by her husband, Douglas Pearson of Escanaba; 3 sons, Christopher Drossart of Ford River, Erik Drossart of Escanaba, and Matthew Pearson of Escanaba; 7 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Roger Anderson of Escanaba, and David (Maryann) Anderson of Gladstone; 3 sisters, Janet Kwarciany of Ford River, Sharon Griffin of Escanaba, and Chris (Jim) Deacon of Gladstone; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her siblings, Margie LaCosse, Ethel Jean LaCarte, John Anderson, and Bill Anderson.
