Joyce Kuehl Obituary

Joyce Elaine Kuehl, 83, passed away with her family at her side at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI on Monday, January 11, 2021 following complications of a stroke.

Joyce was born in Brampton, Ml on November 28th, 1937 to Walter and Ruth (Lundstrom) Listle. She grew up in the Flat Rock, Gross Area. She moved to Escanaba, Ml where she was united in marriage to Harold "Geno" Kuehl in 1959. They then moved to the Gross area where she was a homemaker, and she raised her children. Once her children were grown, Joyce was a caregiver to many children in the local area. They all learned early on that Joyce had "eyes in the back of her head" and what the "wooden spoon" was used for. She enjoyed riding fancy free on the back of her husband's motorcycle. She was a lifetime member of the U.P. Chiefs Motorcycle Club and was proud to be Geno's "Ole Lady." Joyce enjoyed collecting teddy bears and snowmen, and the many leather jackets and purses - she had one in every color. In later years, she enjoyed going out to eat with her friends. It was no secret that Joyce enjoyed playing the slots at the casinos. She also liked spending time being granny to her grandchildren. Joyce will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Joyce is survived by her children, Dwayne (Debbie) Kuehl of Gladstone, and Kelly (James) Roberts of Arnold; grandchildren, Katie (Eric) Royer of Cornell, Bailey (Blaine) Lamp of Gladstone, Adriana Cavill of IL, Mackenzi Mason of Gladstone, Paiton Graham & Lily Graham both of WI, and Anthony Roberts & Kerri Roberts of Arnold; great-grandchildren, Luke Edward Royer, Mollie Jean Royer, and Ellysia Jade Lamp; her sisters, Trudy Elmquist of  CA, Jeanie (Jim) Barlow of WI, and Sherry (Glen) Meyers of WI; brothers, John (Linda) Listle of MI, and Bobby Listle of MI; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Jim.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Geno" Kuehl; sisters, Ruth Listle, and Mary Bartol; and son-in-law, Jack E Reynolds, Jr.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family memorial service will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Delta Animal Shelter. The family would like to thank the Bishop Noa Home, and the doctors and staff of St. Vincent Hospital of WI for their support and care in Joyce's last few days.
