John E. Rohde

John E. Rohde, age 59, of Escanaba, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 in Escanaba. He was born on October 6, 1962 in Chicago, IL, the son of Donald and Mary Anna (Poland) Rohde. John attended school in the Chicago area and worked at a ski hill in IL during his high school years. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1990 until 1993. John relocated to New York to study as a Theatrical Make-up Artist where he completed his course of study in make-up for stage, screen, and television. He later moved to Bark River, MI and worked at Escanaba and Lake Superior Railroad in Escanaba. John then worked at Holiday Bowl in Escanaba performing maintenance on the bowling machines and worked as a bouncer at night at the Holiday Bowl Bar. He loved being on the water and fishing, and enjoyed extreme sports and skate boarding.

John is survived by his sister, Susan Fecarotta of Bark River; and several nieces and nephews including Warren Kaatz.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Anna Rohde.
