John Jerow Obituary

John J. Jerow, age 67, of Escanaba, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, WI. He was born on August 22, 1952 in Escanaba, the son of Robert and Mildred (Sundling) Jerow. John was raised in Escanaba and graduated from Escanaba High School in 1972. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country until he was honorably discharged. During his working career, John was employed as a welder. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially deer hunting. John was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba.

John J. Jerow is survived by his sister, Karen (William) Peterson of Escanaba; as well as several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Jerow.

Private graveside services and Military Honors will be held in the spring of 2020 in Lakeview Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rick Willette and Lee Berry for the many rides to the VA Hospital in Iron Mountain.
