Janet Sue Kwarciany, of Ford River, Michigan, age 71, passed away on the morning of Sunday, February 11, 2024, in the comfort of her home, with family at her side.
Jan was born on March 31, 1952, in Wells Township, to Carl and Ethel (Goodnough) Anderson. She was a graduate of Escanaba High School and was a lifelong resident of the area. Jan worked as a CNA and housekeeper for Bishop Noa Home for many years and owned and operated the Kon-Tiki Bar of Escanaba.
Jan is survived by her siblings, Sharon (Bob) Griffin, Chris (Jim) Deacon, and Dave Anderson; in-laws Linda Anderson, Roy LaCarte, Doug Pearson; Dolores Pinson, who was someone very special to Jan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other beloved members of the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ron Kwarciany; brothers Carl (Gail), Billy, and John Anderson; sisters Marge (Louie) LaCosse, Jean LaCarte, and Judy Pearson; and sister-in-law Mary Ann Anderson.
Relatives and friends may call on the family during a time of visitation from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Anderson Funeral Home, 2200 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829. The memorial service will be celebrated by Rev. Lily Brondyke at 3:00 p.m. Immediately following, you are cordially invited to join Jan’s family for a time of fellowship, food, and refreshments in the Ludington Room located at the Anderson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy are encouraged to make a contribution to the family to be used for a memorial in Jan’s name.
