James L. Anderson, age 72, formerly of Escanaba, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023 at U.P. Health System- Marquette. He was born April 8, 1951 in Marquette, MI, the son of Ralph and Alice (Frimodig) Anderson. Jim graduated from Escanaba High School in 1969 and went on to attend Ferris State University to receive his degree in Industrial Engineering. Jim was united in marriage on May 4, 1974 to the former Christine Larson at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone, MI. He was employed as the plant manager for Total T.V. in Fort Atkinson, WI. He later moved to De Pere, WI, Sturgeon Bay, WI, and Houghton, MI to work for Bresnan Communications for 24 years. He then was employed by Mullin Construction from 2000 to 2003 as a cable installer. Jim moved to Appleton, WI and worked for Comtec installing security and surveillance systems. After he retired, Jim moved to Jug Lake in the Hiawatha National Forest and built his retirement home. Jim was a member of the HAMM Radio Club, was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed riding his ATV, doing woodwork, playing cribbage, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
James L. Anderson is survived by his wife, Christine Anderson; daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Page of Wrightstown, WI; son, Joshua (Theresa) Anderson of Rockford, MI; 3 grandchildren, Conor, Mikayla, and Jack; sister, Susan (Gerry) Rivard of Escanaba; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, John and David Anderson.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Ludington Park Pavilion on Sunday, September 17, 2023 beginning at 12 p.m. Please wear your Packer gear for it is a Green Bay Packer Sunday!
