Jack J. Koski, age 82, of Escanaba, passed away Friday morning, November 11, 2022 at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba. He was born on October 24, 1940 in Ironwood, MI, the son of George and Violet (Vespa) Koski. Jack was raised and attended school in Escanaba where he was a 1960 graduate of Escanaba High School. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne from 1963 until his was honorably discharged in 1966. He continued to be a life-time member of the 82nd Airborne Historical Society. After returning from the service, Jack went on to attend Bryant and Stratton Business College in Milwaukee, WI where he received his Associate in Arts degree in 1973. Jack moved back to Escanaba and worked for various businesses in the area including Ore Carrier, Inc., Harnischfeger Corporation, Escanaba and Lake Superior Railroad, Harbor Tower, Superior Satellite, and Community Action Agency. His last employment was with Delta Area Transit Authority as a driver until his retirement. Jack lived a simple life and looked forward to attending EAA Air Venture every year in Oshkosh, WI to see the various airplanes and events.
Jack is survived by his brother-in-law, Bruce Jacobsen of Gladstone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Kathryn “Katie” Jacobsen.
Private services were held. Burial took place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
