Harmoni Lily Cayer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harmoni Lily Cayer, who left us on August 8, 2023. She was born on July 7, 1981 and brought joy and love to all who knew her. Harmoni touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

Harmoni was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. She had a kind and compassionate soul, always ready to lend a helping hand and provide comfort to those in need. Her infectious laughter and radiant smile could brighten even the darkest of days.

A 42-year-old Cosmetologist, Harmoni was passionate about her daughter Rylan and helping her clients look their very best.

Harmoni is survived by her mother, Lori Magnuson (Joe Pikka) of Escanaba; father, Gary Cayer of Rock; sister, Heather (Jason) Rains of Broken Arrow, OK; maternal grandmother, Lynne Magnuson of Escanaba; niece Rory Dewees of Anchorage, AK; her daughter Rylan Lily Cayer; Rylan’s father Ben Schaefer, and Ben’s parents Greg and Maxine Schaefer all of Hawthorn Woods, IL; many aunts, uncles and cousins; special friend Mr. Tom Gollogly of Lake Zurich, IL; extended family members Mike and Julie Durkins and their children Michelle, Kim and Matt..

Harmoni was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Clarence and Lillian Cayer; maternal grandfather, Ronald Magnuson; maternal great grandparents Eugene and Elveda Hansen, and Worthey and Gladys Magnuson.   

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday September 17, 2023, at Grace Church in Gladstone. A celebration of life service in honor of Harmoni will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Grace Church with Pastor Tim Haugen officiating. A dinner will be served at the conclusion of the services in the church fellowship hall. In Lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the College Fund for Education for Rylan. The Anderson Funeral Homes of Escanaba and Gladstone are assisting the Cayer family with the arrangements and online condolences can be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralhomes.net.
