Guem Ann Landenberger, age 68, of Gladstone, passed away Tuesday morning, April 6, 2021 at her home. She was born on January 25, 1953 in Newburgh, NY, the daughter of Goldie Marie Overly. As a young girl, Guem was raised in New York and Pennsylvania and was a 1971 graduate of Valley Central High School. In 1975, she relocated to Cornell in the Upper Peninsula and moved to Gladstone in 1977. Guem was employed by Hoegh Pet Casket Company in the sewing department and later for Hupy Insurance Company in Gladstone before returning to Hoegh Pet Casket Company where she worked on metal photography. She also worked as an EMT and firefighter for the Brampton Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Guem married David “Mike” Landenberger on December 14, 2012 in Escanaba. Together, the couple shared 8 years of marriage. She was involved in the Relay for Life with the Delta County Cancer Alliance and greatly enjoyed quilting and sewing.
Guem Ann Landenberger is survived by her husband, Mike Landenberger of Gladstone; son, Kevin (Jennifer) Allsworth of Rapid River; daughter, Melissa (John) Corwin of Escanaba; 8 grandchildren, Megan, Chloe, and Lucy Allsworth, and Jennifer, Josh, Cassie, Koy, and Raymond Corwin; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy Overly of AL; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Taco.
Guem was preceded in death by her mother, Goldie Brandt.
Private services will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home in Gladstone. The family would like to extend a special thank you to OSF St. Francis Hospital Dialysis Staff as well as OSF Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion given to Guem.
