Gary C. Fournier

Following a brave battle with Parkinson's Disease, Gary C. Fournier, age 69, of Hyde, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 28, 2022 at home with his loving family.

Gary was born November 15,1952 in Campbell, CA to Roland and Marion Fournier. He graduated from Campbell High School in 1971 and went on to graduate from the American School of Paper Hanging Arts. 

Gary married Susan Johnson on December 10, 1981 in Escanaba, MI. Together they raised their 3 daughters, Harmony, Joy, and Faith.  

Gary owned and operated Fournier Paint and Wallcovering for over 40 years. He was an avid lover of good music, ice cream, peanut M&Ms, and chocolate milk. He also enjoyed playing his guitar, golfing, and the outdoors. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue of Hyde; their daughters, Harmony (Bill) Ebbesen of Greenville, WI, Joy (Michael) Kovach of West Pittston, PA, and Faith (Kendrick King) Fournier of Bark River, MI; older brother, Michael (Donna) Fournier; twin brother, Jerry (Tiffany) Fournier; sisters, Bonnie Jordan and Mary Lou Kahn; grandchildren, August Arnold, Michael Lee Kovach, Jr., Salinger Ebbesen, and William Ebbesen; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Larry Gravatt, Mel Davis, Craig Seckinger, Dave Evans, Keith Balisteri, and Chuck Sprinkle.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Marion Fournier; and good friend, Daryl Hansen. 

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. A closing prayer will follow at 3:00 p.m., Friday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Fournier family. The family would like to thank UPHS Hospice and Dr. Carlson for their loving care along with Cally Dittrich and Alex Plouff for their love and support through this difficult time.
