Frederick Alan Connors of McFarland, MI age 52, a devoted father, brother, son, uncle, and nephew passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family on July 22, 2024 at UP Health Systems in Marquette. MI. Fred was born January 31, 1972 to Marvin and Susan (Nummilien) Connors. He was raised in a fun-loving family with many nephews and nieces which all became a big extended family of camping, snowmobiling and many other adventures. Fred graduated in 1990 from Mid Peninsula school in Rock, MI.
Fearless Fred as he was also called, if it had the word dangerous in it, he did not hesitate the risk, no matter the consequence. Many trips to the ER and even cousins being called to assist in suturing his extremities. Fred was the shotgun of beer you were afraid to take. Fred was a free spirit who loved riding the back roads looking for mushrooms and deer hunting. He always had beer on ice with BS flying around the cooler. Fred was a big prankster full of tricks not knowing what to expect next from him. His laugh was very contagious with a dash of mischief in it. He loved to live life in the fast lane. He was a handsome ladies’ man with the biggest blue eyes. He was the best brother a sister could ask for, always lending a helping hand whenever she needed. He loved his family, extended family and all his partners in crime.
Fred was a perfectionist in all he did with his carpentry being a special skill he possessed always coming up with unique ideas in his construction projects. He worked with Lancour Building, Westlund Construction, the 324 Operating Engineers and then ventured off on his own endeavors. He enjoyed tinkering with his dump truck and loader he received from his Uncle Buckshot.
Fred is survived by his children, Freddie Culvahouse, Lena and (Jacob) Jandreau, Father Marvin Connors, Sister Maggie Hansen, nephew Riley Hansen, Jennifer Anderson, and many special uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Susie, brother Maxwell, grandparents Archie & Almeda Connors, Brunno & Helen Nummilien and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Fred will be missed by all and remembered for his mischievous, fun-loving pranks he pulled and his big heart filled with love for all. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. with services to follow at 3 p.m. at McFarland Community Center in McFarland, MI with Archie Johnson officiating.
