Florayda "Sandra" Blea, age 69, of Escanaba, MI, passed away Thursday, September16, 2021 at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend, WI due to complications with COVID-19. She was born April 3, 1952 in Cheyenne, WY. Sandra was raised in Cheyenne and graduated from Central High School in 1971. Following graduation Sandra moved to Fort Collins, CO where she lived until relocating to Escanaba 22 years ago. Sandra was employed at Admiral Gas Station in Escanaba, MI and for the past several years at Issues and Answers in Escanaba. She was a member of the Escanaba Eagles Auxiliary 1088. Sandra enjoyed spending time fishing, going to the casino and she also was in a pool league. Her Hispanic heritage was expressed in Sandra's cooking. She made authentic tamales, and was well known for her burritos and delicious guacamole.
Sandra is survived by her companion of 22 years, Arlene Nadeau; her puppies, Annie and Cooper; Arlene's daughters Jill of Watertown, WI and Jackie (Jon) of Hessel, MI. Sandra is also survived by a son, Alejandro of CO; and siblings, Jerry of Denver, CO, Lila of Highlandville, MO, and Emily of Fort Collins, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sandra was a humble person and was deeply touched by others kindness to her. To honor Sandra, it is asked that those who knew her remember happy times they shared with her.
Private family graveside services will be held at Moss Lake Cemetery in Isabella, MI.
