Elaine J. Norden

Elaine J. Norden, age 93, of Manistique, MI, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility in Manistique.

Elaine was born on January 4, 1932, in Escanaba, MI, and was raised in Gladstone, graduating from Gladstone High School in 1950.

As a young woman, Elaine worked at the local Cashway Store and when it was bought by Red Owl, she continued to work for them in Michigan and Wisconsin until she moved to Manistique in 1965 to raise her five children. Elaine also worked at local Manistique motels as a housekeeper.

Elaine is survived by four children Debbie Gierke of Manistique, Dave Norden of Manistique, Dave Norden of Manistique, Diann Deloria of Gladstone and Darryl Norden of Gladstone; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Dale; mother and stepfather; and brother.

Private family burial services were held at the Fairview Cemetery in Manistique.
