Edith A. Sheedlo-Gosh

Edith A. Sheedlo-Gosh, age 89, of Antioch, IL, passed away March 9, 2026 with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife to the late Ronald Sheedlo who passed in 1994, and then James Gosh who passed in 2023. Devoted mother to Ron (Paula), Dave (Linda), Steve (Molly), and Craig (Tracey) Sheedlo. Cherished Grandmother to Rachel (Matt), Audrey (Adam), Laura,Tristan, Luke, Josiah (Alicia), Jacob (Alyssa), Caleb (Regan), Talia (Kurt), Ethan, Annie (Daniel), Leah (Solomon), Sam, Elizabeth, Anthony, Alec, Tegan (Stephen), Kathleen (Ian), Trevor (Shannon), and the late Ty. Adored Great-Grandmother to many. Dear sister to Clyde, Roy, Kathy, the late Clinton and the late Betty. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Bernice Sundquist. Dear friend to many. 

Edith went to school and became a nurse. She served her local community in that way for many years. She was strong in her faith and had a deep passion for serving others. She attended mission trips near the Mexico border, helping provide aid to children and families in need.  She enjoyed these trips and many other opportunities to travel.  Edie and her husband, Ron, were very dedicated to their church community and served their local church in any way possible. Together they founded the Awana Club program at Fox Lake Baptist Church. After Ron went to be with the Lord, she carried on that passion and served alongside Jim at the Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church.  She will be deeply missed. 

A Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church, 43 W Grass Lake Rd, Lake Villa, IL from 2:00pm-3:00pm, with a memorial service beginning at 3:00pm.
