Dorothy Jane Witkowski

Dorothy J. Witkowski, age 93, of Gladstone, MI passed on Tuesday February 17, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born March 24, 1932 in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Jerome and Irene (Supernand) Wright.  She was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School with the Class of 1951.  On August 1, 1953 she was united in marriage to Joseph R. Witkowski.  Dorothy and Joseph were happily married for 64 years.  He preceded her in death on December 5, 2017.

Dorothy proudly served as a supervisor of the hardware department at the Red Owl Family Center in Escanaba, Michigan for 8 years, where she was known for her strong work ethic and friendly smile.  She later dedicated 15 years as an AFLAC agent in Escanaba, building lasting relationships within the community she loved.

Dorothy had many talents and passions.  In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and sewing, creating exquisite, beautiful clothing for her family.  She found joy in cooking, canning and tending to her garden.  An avid reader of romance novels, she also loved spending time outdoors picking berries.  Dorothy’s creativity, warmth and love for simple pleasures brought happiness to all who knew her.

Dorothy is survived by her 4 children; Paul Witkowski, Ann England, Lori Nelson (Duane) and Kathy Villarreal; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Jerome & Irene Wright, her husband Joseph Witkowski and a brother Robert Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home in Green Bay.  Entombment will take place at Ledgeview Mausoleum, Fond du Lac at a later date.
