Donna J. Benz

Donna Jo Benz, age 59, of Gwinn, MI passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at her home in Gwinn. She was born September 16, 1964 in Escanaba and was the daughter of John and Theresa (Carignan) Benz. Donna attended school in Gladstone and graduated from Gladstone High School. She was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed raising her four children. Donna had a zest for life, had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. She enjoyed music, puzzles, coloring, watching scary movies and just being outdoors and enjoying nature. Donna was a very giving person and would help anyone in time of need.  

Donna is survived by her sons John Benz of Marquette and Winston Benz of Gwinn; twin daughters Mariah and Melinda Benz both of Gwinn; eight grandchildren; brother Fred Benz of Cornell and sisters Diana Benz of Escanaba, Joanne Cass of Cornell and Sue Porath of Illinois and several nieces and nephews.  

A Celebration of Life Service in honor of Donna will be held later. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
