Donald J. Gauld

Donald Jay Gauld of Rapid River, Michigan, age 74, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, at the Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility, Manistique, MI.

Don was born to Clarence and Hazel (Christopher) Gauld in Traverse City, MI on November 3, 1950, and had been a longtime resident of the Rapid River area.

Don was a faithful and devoted servant to his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, with whom he walked with daily. He was also a family man who cherished and enjoyed every moment with them, especially when he would share his woodworking talents with his children and grandchildren.

Don leaves behind his wife, Kim Gauld; daughters Sarah Gauld and Hannah Zar; grandchildren Dillan and Aiden Zar; sisters Kathy and Jackie; and other beloved family and friends.

There will be a time of visitation from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Rapid River Congregational Church, 7891 Cleveland Street, Rapid River, MI 49878. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Refuse officiating. Immediately following, you are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship, food, and refreshments at the church.
