Dennis Eric Giannini

Dennis Eric Giannini, age 79, of Gladstone, passed away Monday evening, August 10, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. He was born on October 19, 1940 in East Paterson, NJ, the son of Sistillio and Josephine (Levi) Giannini. Dennis was raised in East Paterson, NJ where he graduated from high school. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on November 12, 1958 and served his country until he was honorably discharged on June 7, 1962. Dennis married the former Carol Jenkins on June 23, 1978 in Lincoln Park MI. Together, the couple shared 42 years of marriage. Dennis was employed by Ford Motor Company in Livonia, MI for several years. He also was a mason and performed concrete work until his retirement in 1997. Dennis and Carol relocated to the Upper Peninsula in 2011, settling in Gladstone. He was active in the Knights of Columbus, enjoyed classic cars and the outdoors – especially hunting, and doing machine work.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, Dennis Eric Giannini, Jr., Keith Doncouse, and Scott Doncouse; daughters, Nannette Giannini-Franklin, and Renee Best; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by son, James Doncouse; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.
